Chemical peel treatments for various skin conditions

Physicians Laser and Dermatology Institute doctors are experienced in the use of chemical peels to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, sun spots, and uneven skin color and texture. Innovating and customizing, PLDI physicians also use chemical peels to complement other treatments in combination therapy.

During chemical peels, the physician applies medical acids that remove damaged skin layers and reveal more youthful skin. The healing response after the peel often coincides with the formation of new collagen, lending tightness and elasticity. Chemical peels are typically used on the face, but can eliminate freckles, age spots, and lines on the chest, shoulders, and arms as well.
